Pam Vosburg Joins Mayflower Community as CFO

Pam Vosburg, CPA, has been named Chief Financial Officer for the Mayflower Community in GrinnellIA.

“We are fortunate that Pam has joined our leadership staff,” Bob Mann, executive director of the Mayflower Community says, “She brings the right mix of expertise, experience, and caring to this position and has already made a difference in our organization in a few months.”

Most recently, Vosburg was a partner with Plate, Baker, & Co. Inc., of Grinnell. She has also worked in tax accounting for the law firm of Charnetski, Olson, and Lacina, LLP; worked as the accountant for her family’s business, Vosburg Building Center; and taught business education at Grinnell High School.

“I have always had a deep respect for the Mayflower Community,” Vosburg says. “I have had an interest in working for this organization for a long time and I am glad to be here.”

As CFO, Vosburg oversees all areas of money management including accounting, reporting, budgeting, financial operations and analysis, annual audit preparation, and control and investment of funds for the four entities of the Mayflower Community. These include Mayflower Homes, Inc.; Mayflower Homes Foundation; Mayflower at Prairie Pointe, LLC; and Harwich Terrace at Mayflower, LLC.

Vosburg began her duties earlier this year as the new chief financial officer for Mayflower Community.

The Mayflower Community was founded in 1950 through the efforts of Grinnell citizens to provide support services for retired persons with limited financial means. Today, more than 220 people make their homes in the Mayflower Community’s healthcare and independent living apartment and patio homes.
